This huge cactus is near my house. This is only about half of the patch and it is huge. There are so many cactus tuna. I think this is the most I have ever seen in one patch.
It is said that the tuna or fruit can be used for jellies, candies or even eaten raw after carefully removing the hairlike spines. I like to look at them but am not brave enough to battle the spines.

That is cool! But I don't know what cactus tuna means, and I guess I better learn now that I live in Texas.
