Blue

I love blue. While looking through some pictures of past trips I noticed something I had not paid attention to before. I noticed that in places so extremely different, shades of blue are very similar.

Who knew water could be so blue.

I Need To Work On My Shawl, But Here Is Another Bowl

I need to get working on my shawl. I need to work on some Christmas things but here I am crocheting another bowl. What is the deal? I have no idea. This is the same pattern as the Earthtone bowl. On Ravelry by Chase Clark, Crochet Basket: Quick Mini Version. I think I like this version even better than the single crochet because being double crochet it works up so fast.

I really like the colors of Gumdrop. They are so bright and in the middle of the bowl it does look like gumdrops. I added the Sunburst for a little contrast.

New Basket

The crocheting continues. This basket is a pattern from Chase Clark on Ravelry. It is called Crochet Basket:Quick Mini Version. I enjoyed making it. It is double crochet so it crocheted a little faster than the others. I used an H hook. This is a larger basket than the little bowls I did previously.

One More Bowl

Still trying to use up the cotton balls I seem to have accumulated. This is another one from the Notions Bowl pattern I used previously.

I used Sugar and Creme Dark Pine #0016 and Rooster. Unfortunately I did not have the tag for Rooster so I do not know what brand or color number it is. I really like it but have not seen any more balls of this cotton yarn.

This may be my favorite of the three bowls.

More Bowls

I made two more bowls in my quest to use up my cotton yarn. Actually crocheting these little bowls provides great satisfaction in that they are done very quickly unlike my two knit shawls which are long commitments. I used Barb Niles pattern for Notions Bowls on Ravelry. She called for a 7/G/4.5mm hook. I used an H/5.00mm. Just that little bit helps my hands not get so crampy. It is a super easy pattern and as I said the satisfaction factor of finishing a project quickly is great.

Crochet Cup Holder

So I seem to be in the crochet mood. I have a lot of Sugar and Cream and Peaches and Cream cotton and apparently I am liking crocheting little bowls. I have a cup holder for Dixie cups in the pink bathroom and remembered I have some hot pink Sugar and Creme cotton. I took the idea from Bunny Mummy's blog that I used on the pencil holder and adapted it to fit the cup holder. I also think that it is finishing a project quickly that has drawn me into these little bowls. I don't like clutter sitting around to have to dust but if it has a purpose it is ok. So here is the finished cup holder. I think it turned out cute.

Crochet Pencil Holder

I have many projects going on right now jumping back and forth to my temperment at the time. www.bunnymummy-jacquie.blogspot.com has a cute crocheted bowl. I have a bunch of cotton yarn so thought I would make one. At first I did not care for the size I was making so I ripped it out and decided to make it smaller and more narrow and make a pencil holder for the table beside the couch where I do all my work. I used Lily Sugar and Cream, color #2744 Swimming Pool. I also switched from a G crochet hook to an I. The double thread with a G hook was giving my RA hands fits. The I worked better for me. This is an easy and fun pattern and it can be adjusted to whatever size you want to make.
